Welcome to Humanists Doing Good!

We are a nonprofit and nonreligious community of compassionate and rational people doing good for the sake of good. We are people learning, socializing and volunteering together. We are always looking for more people to join our cause and invite you to learn more about our organization and our beliefs. You just may be surprised to learn that great minds such as Albert Einstein have shared our vision.

Humanists Doing Good focuses on improving our lives by improving the lives of others.

We will meet at the trailhead and begin the hike at 10 am sharp. The hike is relatively flat and easy. We may see some of the wild horse herd that is often found in this area. Bring warm clothes in case the weather is cool, and be prepared for some potentially muddy trail.

When: Sunday, February 25th at 10:00 am.

Where: Coal Canyon Trailhead (see meetup site as date approaches)

Click here to RSVP on meetup or to view additional information.

Choose a book to read or one that you have already read and share your thoughts about the book with the group. Any book you've read will work and you'll almost certainly learn about some books that you might enjoy reading as everyone shares their thoughts on various books they've chosen as well. You are also welcome to coordinate one particular book to read with some of the other group members for the future if you'd like or continue reading on your own. If you haven't been to book club before, we encourage you to come. This event is always a lot of fun.

When: Thursday, February 22nd at 6:00 pm

Where: Garden Room at The Commons (625 27 1/2 Road, GJ - Park at the rear of the building and enter through the external Garden Room entrance)

Click here to RSVP on our meetup site.

Humanists Doing Good will be cheering on the athletes competing in the 2018 Special Olympics Basketball Tournament. We'll be starting a little later than usual and trying to focus on some of the individual skills competitions this time too. Make a large sign and join everyone as we cheer our lungs out! Everyone appreciates the additional support and the Special Olympics has continually requested our return every year. As for parking, we generally park in the lot south of the soccer field when it is available. Please wear your yellow volunteer shirt if you have one available (if not, don't worry!).

When: Saturday, February 17th at 11:00 am (actual event begins earlier than this time)

Where: Colorado Mesa University Basketball Courts (multiple gyms are used for this event, so look for people in yellow HDG shirts and holding signs)

Click here to RSVP on our meetup site.
