Welcome to Humanists Doing Good!
We are a nonprofit and nonreligious community of compassionate and rational people doing good for the sake of good. We are people learning, socializing and volunteering together. We are always looking for more people to join our cause and invite you to learn more about our organization and our beliefs. You just may be surprised to learn that great minds such as Albert Einstein have shared our vision.
Humanists Doing Good focuses on improving our lives by improving the lives of others.
At this even we will be packaging and handing out food for people in need. This is the first event where the food bank is open during these hours so it might be a little slow. If it does end up being slow they assured us that they will have plenty of packaging to keep us busy during this event.
When: Thursday, July 6th from 4:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Where: 562 West Crete Circle, Suite 102 in Grand Junction

Humanists Doing Good will be setting up our first booth of the season at the Grand Junction Farmers Market on Main Street. Volunteers help with setting up our booth, staffing our table and taking down our booth at the end of the evening. We are happy to partner new volunteers with experienced volunteers and no previous experience is required. Help us reach out to our community and inform people about all the great things we do. It's also a fun way to meet new and interesting people. We typically have two volunteer shifts from 4:00 pm - 6:30 pm and from 6:30 pm to around 8:45 pm. The market does not officially open until 5:30 pm and closes at 8:30 pm.
When: 4:00 pm - 8:45 pm
Where: 500 Block of Main Street

This trail is paved all the way, on an old railroad grade, so nice and flat. We will have brunch in Carbondale at the Village Smithy, our favorite place for brunch! People can meet there if they don't want to ride! We will park at Two Rivers Park in Glenwood and enjoy cool air and no gnats! Get off I-70 at the West Glenwood exit (exit 114), and turn left immediately after you cross the river on Devereux Road, which takes you right to Two Rivers Park.
When: Sunday, June 25th 9:00 am
Where: Two Rivers Park in Glenwood
