Welcome to Humanists Doing Good!

We are a nonprofit and nonreligious community of compassionate and rational people doing good for the sake of good. We are people learning, socializing and volunteering together. We are always looking for more people to join our cause and invite you to learn more about our organization and our beliefs. You just may be surprised to learn that great minds such as Albert Einstein have shared our vision.

Humanists Doing Good focuses on improving our lives by improving the lives of others.

Members of Humanists Doing Good baked treats and handed them out to people working on Christmas day and to homeless members of our community. Our members pitched in numerous volunteer hours, baked goods, made donations and hand made slippers and hats for this impromptu effort. Many people were extremely grateful for the unexpected treats and gifts and we clearly made their day a little brighter. Our thanks go out to everyone who made this possible.

Humanists Doing Good will be caroling on Main Street on Sunday at noon until around 2:00 pm. We will be meeting on the corner of 6th and Main. Singers of all levels and ages are welcome and encouraged to attend. We have tried to collect a few songs that are well known. The downtown project will also be having holiday music and there will be free carriage rides for the public. It is our hope to add a little warmth and cheer to the holiday season. We will likely have hot chocolate afterward.

Humanists Doing Good will be treated to Shaun’s soon-to-be-famous spaghetti Sunday evening at 5:30 pm. Later arrivals are fine too. We will be meeting at Lyn’s home. Please join us for good food and conversation. We ask that everyone please make reservations since space is somewhat limited and we want to make sure to have adequate seating and food available (email This email address is being protected from spambots.
