Welcome to Humanists Doing Good!

We are a nonprofit and nonreligious community of compassionate and rational people doing good for the sake of good. We are people learning, socializing and volunteering together. We are always looking for more people to join our cause and invite you to learn more about our organization and our beliefs. You just may be surprised to learn that great minds such as Albert Einstein have shared our vision.

Humanists Doing Good focuses on improving our lives by improving the lives of others.

June 21st, 2012 - UniversiTea: Wearing the Label

Join us on World Humanist Day, June 21st, at Fraps and Wraps (150 West Main in GJ) from 6:30 - 8:30 pm for UniversiTea. We'll be using the occasion to share our experiences and concerns with putting on the label of being secular. This is a chance to discuss the positives, the negatives and everything in between of identifying as a secular individual. UniversiTea is a chance to delve into some philosophical topics in a comfortable environment over a cup of tea, coffee, etc. We aim to keep things casual and let the conversation go where it pleases.

    June 13th, 2012 - Meeting

Humanists Doing Good will be having a meeting at a new location and at a new time based on feedback we have received from our members. Join us Wednesday evening at 6:00 pm at Fraps and Wraps as we share information, discuss, and plan for upcoming events. Fraps and Wraps is located at 150 West Main Street. We will also be organizing volunteers to help with future HDG events and we could use everyone's assistance as we handle some large undertakings. HDG has a major event coming up that we're going to need a lot of help with. New people are absolutely welcome to attend this meeting and we'll be happy to answer any questions you might have.

June 10th, 2012 - Crag Crest Trail Hike

Board chair, Pascal Brammeier, will be leading a hike on the Crag Crest Trail atop the Grand Mesa on Sunday. We'll hike up to the ridges at least (7 mi total). If everyone present is game, we'll do the full loop (10.2 mi total).

The group will gather at the Clifton City Market at 7:30 am to get last minute items and then carpool up to the trailhead.

Packing suggestions: be sure to bring enough water, lunch, sunscreen, bug spay, high-energy snacks, camera, light-jacket
