Ask For Help
If you have a legitimate need that you believe our volunteers could help with, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are also quite willing to try and help other organizations that need some assistance to do something positive. Please understand that our resources are limited and that we may not possess the particular skillsets required for your need. We do not provide financial assistance and we also do not engage in long term commitments to projects so that we can continue to help a variety of people and organizations. Requests are evaluated based upon several criteria and upon our Humanist values. We strive to do the maximum good that we can with our pool of volunteers, but every request cannot be fulfilled. Our staff will do their best to promptly reply to all requests.
By requesting help from Humanists Doing Good, you agree to release our organization and its volunteers from any incidental damages that may occur during the process of our volunteers trying their best to assist you. We have to have this protection so that our organization and its participants do not need to worry about being sued while acting with the best of intentions for others. We like to say, "All good deeds must go unpunished." Accidents can and will happen from time to time and we will do our best to make amends for anything for which we feel responsible.
We encourage you to give some thought to how you believe we could best help in the situation. The more information you can provide to us, the better we can assess everything and properly allocate our volunteers to help. Any misuse of our volunteers will result in all further requests for assistance being declined. We also request that projects do not continuously expand once our volunteers arrive. Our volunteers are sent to do something good and well defined and then move on to their next effort. Please don't abuse their good will.
